After some searching, and a few false starts we found the perfect location for the main body of our shoot.
In Summer 2024, in deepest, darkest Bermondsey, South-East London, just a stones throw from Millwall FC's New Den stadium on Landmann Way we shot in almost the exact setting I envisioned when writing "Busking". Big echoey brick arches, with weather-beaten brickwork, beneath a working railway line. The site is an official Lewisham filming location listed on Film Hub and was local to the crew.
Unit base was the nearby Avalon Cafe, previously a greasy spoon cafe, recently converted into an awesome arts centre.
We also shot at the Magic Kiosk on the Isle Of Dogs, a quirky little news-agent's just north of the famous Greenwich Foot Tunnel (itself used in countless films and music videos). With permission of the proprietor, who liked our script and artistic attitude, we got a great and integral scene completed here. Thanks Paul!!!
